Five stars! 😍
P.S. I Like You by Kasie West was such a cute and amazing book! I read it all in one sitting, in 2.5 hours haha. It was so good; I couldn’t put it down because I kept wanting to know what would happen next. Although I agree with others that it had some cliches (*SPOILER BEGINS* and I suspected that Cade was the letter writer a few chapters in *END SPOILER*), I still loved it because I enjoy reading cutesy, somewhat cliche-y romances every once in a while.
Synopsis (from Goodreads)
Signed, sealed, delivered…
While spacing out in chemistry class, Lily scribbles some of her favorite song lyrics onto her desk. The next day, she finds that someone has continued the lyrics on the desk and added a message to her. Intrigue!
Soon, Lily and her anonymous pen pal are exchanging full-on letters—sharing secrets, recommending bands, and opening up to each other. Lily realizes she’s kind of falling for this letter writer. Only, who is he? As Lily attempts to unravel the mystery and juggle school, friends, crushes, and her crazy family, she discovers that matters of the heart can’t always be spelled out…
My Thoughts
This book did not disappoint my wishes for a cutesy, cliche romance! I loved Lily’s family and how close and loud they all were. I also loved how Lily and Cade grew closer and closer through their letters, how they both knew who the other was near the end, and how they both tried to hide their identity from each other because they thought the other hated them. I was happy that we got to see Lily grow and become more confident and sure of herself by the end of the book. I highly recommend this book if you’re in the mood for a good romance with a happy ending. 🙂
By the way, this is the first book review that I’ve ever posted online! So I’m sorry if it seems sort of bad, haha, I’m still figuring out how to review a book well. Hopefully I’ll review more and improve in the future!
